LIVE Techno – WhatsApp is currently releasing an update that allows users to delete messages up to two days after they are sent. This was announced directly by WhatsApp via a tweet on its Twitter account.
“Rethinking your message? You will now have about 2 days to delete the message from your chat once you hit send.” Tweet WhatsApp via his Twitter account.
This WhatsApp tweet, which was made on August 9, 2022, received a fairly lively reaction from netizens, around 4,086 likes and 779 retweets.
What’s more, WhatsApp users will have 2 days and 12 hours to delete messages after sending them. Previously, the limit was only 1 hour 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, to delete a message that has been sent on WhatsApp, all you need to do is tap and hold it for a few seconds, which will then bring up the “delete” button and then tap the button.
Interestingly, WhatsApp’s competitors, iMessage Apple’s actually issued the opposite. In the first beta version of iOS 16, users only had 15 minutes to unsend messages and currently, in its latest beta, this limit has been reduced to just two minutes, quoting from the site. 9to5macTuesday, August 9, 2022.
This feature is quite controversial as some users believe that the option to edit and unsend messages can be used for malicious purposes.
