“WhatsApp is finally planning to release a new feature for the image editor after installing the new WhatsApp beta update for Android 2.22.3.5,” said WABetaInfo, quoted Live Mint, Tuesday (18/1).
This feature not only works on images but video documents. Now, you don’t have to go to any other app or any third app to edit, compose or blur images or videos.
“WhatsApp plans to add a new, different pencil for drawing on your images and videos,” he said.
Later, there will be two new pencils for a total of three pencils. However, this does not rule out the possibility that there will be more other tools being developed.
Ultimately WhatsApp is working to support this new feature as a future WhatsApp beta update for Android. Unfortunately, this new drawing tool is currently under development and there is no release date for beta testers.
Previously, WhatsApp announced plans to roll out a new feature that will let you listen to voice messages even if you switch to another window. The company owned by Meta is testing it for Android devices but it is already rolling out to certain iOS beta users.
Currently, voice notes automatically stop playing if you leave certain chat tabs. However, if you use this planned feature, you may get more control over the voice notes. You can also listen to it in the background.
