Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – One of WhatsApp’s features, the Secret Code, was widely said to be able to help people cheat. This was discussed by many netizens on various social media platforms some time ago.
Secret Code is a feature that is part of Chat Lock. WhatsApp actually provides this feature as additional user security.
So users can ‘lock’ certain chats on WhatsApp. To access it, you need to use a code that has been previously set.
Especially for Chat Lock, it will collect selected chats from a separate folder. Users need to use authentication such as passwords, fingerprints or face ID.
WhatsApp will also hide visible messages from notifications. Because the notification will only display the words: WhatsApp: 1 new message.
How to use WhatsApp Chat Lock
Here’s how to lock chats in Chat Lock:
1. Set up device authentication first (such as a phone password, fingerprint, or Face ID) if you haven’t already done so.
2. Open WhatsApp
3. Long press on the chat you want to lock
4. Click the three dot icon and select Lock Chat
Meanwhile, the Secret Code will hide the chat with Chat Lock. Users need to search for them with certain symbols such as letters, numbers, symbols and emojis.
To activate Secret Codes in certain chats, follow these steps:
1. Open the Locked Chats folder, then click Settings
2.Tap Secret Code, then Create Secret Code
3.Create your code and click Next
4.Confirm the code and Done.
