Telegram is a free cross-platform instant messaging program and app service that was originally released for iOS and Android in 2013, but only recently could keep up with huge popularity.
Telegram also allows more privacy. You can delete messages (for both sides), groups you created, secret chats and call logs for all parties without leaving a trace, giving the user more control.
Telegram’s servers do not store information about deleted chats and call logs, so the data will be completely gone, forever, according to the app’s website.
For voice chats, the user can see which of their groups has active voice chats and adjust each participant’s volume to manage microphone levels.
The app’s website says more than 100 million users joined Telegram in January alone, and that it has over 500 million monthly active users last month.
Other features include an improved audio player, stickers, and new animations for Android.
