- Restart the application : it must first be stopped completely
- Under Android, you have to swipe up from the application manager, at the bottom left of the screen, then scroll until you find Whatsapp among the active applications and drag the app up to close it.
- Under iOS, the handling is similar: from the application manager at the bottom of the screen, swipe up, find Whatsapp and drag the app up to the top
- If you are using a VPN, there may be conflicts with some applications, so be sure to deactivate.
- Also check that your application and your system operating are good update. For it,
- On Android, go to the Play Store, Menu (at the top of the screen), My games and apps, and search for Whatsapp. You should be able to update it if an update is available, on the right of the screen.
- On iOS, go to the AppStore, Update, scroll to find Whatsapp, and update the app.
- On Android only you can clear the cache. To do this, go to the Whatsapp icon, hold down until you see the App Info, go to Use and storage, and Empty the cache.
- You can also try to uninstall the application, and reinstall. For it :
- On Android, press and hold the Whatsapp icon until you see the App Info, go to Uninstall. You can then go to the Play Store to reinstall the app.
- On iOS, press and hold the Whatsapp icon until you see Uninstall appear. Tap, then go to the AppStore to reinstall it.
These different methods are indicative, and it is not certain that they will solve your problem. It could be that the problem is with the application, and this problem could be fixed quickly with an update.
