The WhatsApp application reportedly cannot be used on Android 4.4.4 and older. Meanwhile for iPhone, iOS 12 and above can access WhatsApp.

Via its official Help Center page, WhatsApp announced that it would block the use of this chat application on several operating systems.
“Starting October 24, 2023, only Android OS version 5.0 and later will be supported,” said a statement on the official Whatsapp Help Center page.

WhatsApp will provide notifications to cellphone users with this series periodically.
The main reason is because the hardware specifications do not support the application because it is not optimal.
