WhatsApp It has positioned itself as the application par excellence when it comes to communicating with friends and loved ones, as well as being a most useful work tool. An instant messaging platform that does not stop receiving all kinds of updates to continue dominating the sector with an iron fist.
Without a doubt, this is one of the secrets of the success of WhatsApp compared to other alternatives: the large number of updates that arrive little by little to offer extra usability.
The last example? It seems that very soon we will be able to add or edit contacts directly from WhatsApp, without having to use the contacts application on our smartphones.
Editing contacts in WhatsApp will be easier than ever
Or this is what emerges from the latest publication of the WaBetaInfo colleagues, a portal specialized in everything related to WhatsApp, and that they have discovered a new function that is coming to WhatsApp beta for Android in its version 2.23.8.6.
Before continuing, we want to highlight that not all users are having access to this new function even if they have updated the beta version of WhatsApp, so it is clear that it is a phased rollout and that it could take a few days to reach all users.
But, as you can see in the image that accompanies these lines and that WaBetaInfo colleagues have shared, we can see that in the near future it will not be necessary to leave WhatsApp when adding a new contact or editing one that is already available.
In addition, the process is extremely simple, since in the publication they indicate that you will only have to access WhatsApp contacts and, within the options, the new Add contact tool will appear.
It is true that previously WhatsApp will already allow you to add or edit contacts within the app, but what it did was redirect you directly to the contacts application on your phone. Now, with its new update, you will be able to do the process directly from WhatsApp, making everything much easier. Of course, as we have told you before, at the moment only some beta users are having access to this tool. And only from Android. In the case of being an iOS user, you will have to wait a few days or weeks until the corresponding update is released.
And finally, if you are not a beta user, it is very likely that this tool will not arrive for a few weeks to be able to edit or add contacts directly in WhatsApp, so you will have to be patient.
