Retailers will soon be able to sell their products directly on WhatsApp. Facebook, the owner of the popular chat app, announced this on Thursday.

Facebook already offered communication services for companies with Whatsapp Business. The ability to sell products and arrange payment in a chat will be added. Facebook seems to be targeting mainly SMEs.
Later, companies will also be able to manage their WhatsApp messages through Facebook hosting services.
Some of the business services will be paid, the company announces. “This will help WhatsApp to further build our own business,” it says in a blog. It is not clear which services are involved.
