WhatsApp backtracks with a long-awaited new fun …

WhatsApp recently decided to abandon the development of a feature called “vacation mode”, which would have allowed the disconnection of groups and conversations when the user needs it.

Currently the messaging application offers the ability to silence and even archive chats. However, when there are new messages, they appear on the main screen, so that the user doesn’t really end up disconnecting from their conversations.

Because of this, WhatsApp started working in “vacation mode” in 2018, an option that provides the ability to completely ignore archived chats. The novel function would have allowed that archived chats no longer appear at the top of the main screen, even with new messages in them.

However, the company recently decided to abandon the development of this new function, according to the specialized site WABetaInfo. Until now, the reasons that led to this step backwards are unknown.
