WhatsApp Application Bans Palestinian Supporters: The Suppression of Pro-Palestinian Activism Uncovered

“Lebanon Debate”

Lebanon Debate learned that a significant number of Palestinian activists who support the Palestinian cause are facing a ban through the WhatsApp application, due to their solidarity with their families in the Gaza Strip.

It was learned that this matter was not limited only to Palestinian supporters in Lebanon, as thousands of lines supporting the resistance and supporting the Gaza issue were banned worldwide, noting that the Facebook platform also bans many accounts supporting the issue, and many posts are deleted.

According to the information, “These companies are owned by major American financiers, most of whom are from the Jewish sect, so what is happening is normal. These applications will not allow their pages to be made material for advocating a cause that harms them,” likening this matter to what is happening in the media sphere that is identical with what the Israelis are doing and looking at what is happening in Gaza with one eye.

It is noteworthy that the WhatsApp and Facebook applications are owned by Meta, which has been monitoring the content of chats and posts for a long time, although it claims to preserve the privacy of its subscribers.
