WhatsApp Announces Three New Polls Updates for Users in Indonesia

JawaPos.com – Good news for WhatsApp users in Indonesia. As they continue to innovate in applications, WhatsApp announced several new features that will be present for their users in Indonesia.

“We hope this will make chatting more productive and fun,” explained WhatsApp Indonesia in a statement, Saturday (6/5).

WhatsApp itself wants to introduce three new updates to the Polls feature. It is hoped that this update will help the group in gathering information and making decisions together.

What’s new to the Polling feature is the single-vote polling capability. “We added a new option to polls that allows you to allow respondents to vote only once, so you will get a definitive answer,” added WhatsApp.

Just turn off ‘Allow multiple answers’ when creating a poll. Then, there is also a poll search feature in your chat.

Sometimes, we can’t always answer a poll right away, and finding it again at a later time is often difficult. That’s what this feature is for.

Now, you can filter messages by poll, the same way you can filter photos, videos, or links. On the ‘Chat’ screen, press ‘Search’ and then ‘Polls’ to find a list of all results.

Plus, now, you’ll receive notifications when someone votes for your poll, so you can easily see the most recent responses.

Also announced to be attending is sharing photos with captions. Sharing on WhatsApp is one of the easiest ways to keep friends and family informed.

And, the ability to forward media allows you to easily re-share images from one group to another. However, sometimes you may not have time to add context before someone responds.

Now, when forwarding media with captions, you have the option to keep, delete or completely rewrite captions to provide additional information when sharing photos between chats.

You can also add captions to photos and videos when forwarding them. Furthermore, as with sharing images or videos, the documents you share may require a bit of explanation.

Whether you’re sending a newspaper article or a work document, you now have the option to add a caption before sharing it. This update is already rolling out to users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
