In the new WhatsApp update announced by Mark Zuckerberg, ‘view once’ messages will be blocked from taking screenshots.
The world’s most popular instant messaging app WhatsAppis currently working on new privacy features.
Meta, the owner of Whatsapp, announced the new security measures of the application. Users can now silently leave group conversations, control who sees their online status, and prevent screenshots from “view once” messages.
Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, said these features will help keep WhatsApp messaging “as private and secure as conversation.”

After the update, which is in the testing phase, it will no longer be possible to take screenshots of messages sent using the “view once” or “timed message” feature. Thus, messages will no longer be recorded without the other party’s knowledge.
Highlighted by a worldwide campaign, the new features will be available starting this month, starting in the UK.
