WhatsApp is constantly working on improvements for the Messenger app. In the beta version 2.22.7.4 for Android there is now a practical innovation for self-deleting messages, such as “WABetaInfo” reported. If necessary, the deletion can now be suspended.
If self-deleting messages are enabled in a conversation, they will disappear from the chat after a period of time. This ensures more privacy. In group chats in particular, however, it can sometimes be necessary for a message to remain visible for longer.
With the latest update, you can now select individual messages and exclude them from deletion if required. It will then not disappear until the exception is lifted.
