This is the first time I’ve heard of WhatsApp banning users
Oh, who on Reddit in the corresponding WhatsApp-Sub on the road, he reads about it every day. Blocked because of spam is harmless and usually relatively easy to fix. Once the permanent ban comes in (which is often the result of the illegal use of various unofficial / modded WhatsApp apps, as they are widely discussed and propagated here in the forum in a separate thread), you usually only have the option to get a new number…

I really can’t imagine being blocked from WhatsApp because you’ve called someone on WhatsApp too many times.
That’s my point of view too. I think/suspect that there are other things going on here that are either not reported here, or that the son probably doesn’t report.

Do you perhaps have a local backup? Then at least the chats would be secured
To what extent?

So WhatsApp likes to block people because of spam if either the users report you more often/repeatedly because of spam (some people also get โfunโ out of reporting other contacts for various things without justification in order to then bring about a ban) or also, if you write in WhatsApp groups whose users you have not saved as contacts, or if you send a lot of the same content in said groups in very short succession, or possibly if repeated requests/calls are made in very short succession . But this actually has to be done pretty spam-like every second or immediately one after the other. Actions that do not occur in normal, everyday WhatsApp use.
