WhatsApp: A practical feature is coming – another is flying

While the haptic touch function for the chats is being reintroduced, the feature is removed from WhatsApp elsewhere: the status of other users can no longer be shown as a preview with a long press on the display.

WhatsApp does not provide a reason, but it is quite conceivable that the change could have to do with the planned introduction of advertisements in the status bar. For WhatsApp, it would be advantageous if users would call up the status bar more often when advertising was finally introduced in Messenger.
