WhatsApp intends to release a new feature that should speed up audio messages sent first and second hand, such as transferred audios. The option is still being tested and if properly evaluated, users who do not like listening to long audios and with many pauses, will be able to advance at 1.5x or 2.0x speed.
The instant messaging app will also make a Beta web program available to iOS and Android beta customers, according to WABetainfo. This was due to an announcement made a few weeks ago that end-to-end encrypted audio and video calls will be allowed to your open web application (computer).
This week, WhatsApp dropped support for the iPhone 4s and now requires iOS 10 or higher to function without possible errors. Even if it is still in the testing phase, the important thing is to know that the new development will be launched.
WABetaInfo also said that the platform will open a new beta program for the Web, Desktop and Portal versions of the Messenger. In this new service, the user’s phone does not need to be connected to the Internet and can also use up to four devices under the same account.
Other apps, such as Facebook and Telegram, are also trying to join new projects to ensure convenience and greater benefits on their platforms.
Facebook, for example, is chasing resources that can include voicemail messages in its chats in its apps to compete with ClubHouse, which has stood out in recent times. Telegram, on the other hand, recently updated its app by bringing in the Voice Chat 2.0 functionality, which is very similar to that of ClubHouse.
In the new version of Telegram it is possible to increase the audio speed from 1x to 2x. In other words, if the user needs to listen to a 6 minute audio that someone has sent, using this new option it will only take “only” 3 minutes to access all the audio content.
