Drulă said that he did not have a discussion with Cioloș about his possible resignation from USR.

He claimed that USR has a well-defined role on the Romanian political scene, it is an institution, it has grown in 5-6 years, it is a big party, with a well-defined place on the Romanian political scene and it wants to grow and govern Romania. .
“What is the point of making a project almost like a vanity project on individuals, other than USR? Here in USR, it is the good home of all those who want to build the liberal, modernizing version. (…) We did not work on different shirts, our colleagues work exceptionally well. We turned two separate projects into a party to represent something. What’s the point of making another chip next to it? It doesn’t make sense, and I hope it doesn’t. (…) It is completely illogical politically and I hope it does not happen “, said Cătălin Drulă.
