The founder and director of Miss Czech Republic, Taťána Makarenko (32), told us in an interview what aesthetic adjustments she underwent. She also talked about the competition in modeling, her opinion on sculptures in young models and how she chooses future bowls.

An asymmetrical face? It is better to solve it preventively
Is it important for a model’s career to undergo various boxes and sculptures?
It’s about our own convictions and what we perceive as a good thing. Someone wants to stay natural and is not a supporter of various botox, acids and plastics. When she is in the Miss competition, she coined the motto: I am a natural beauty, she is her brand. Some, on the other hand, want to add symmetry to the body and face with a small adjustment, for example, when one eyebrow is set lower than the other. All these discrepancies are captured by the cameras.
How do you personally feel about your girls, for example?
I am in favor of the fact that if there is already asymmetry in the face, let’s solve it preventively. When you decide to work in the world of modeling, the competition is so great that it is very difficult to succeed. In order to survive, it is sometimes necessary to undergo such adjustments, if we are internally identified with it and we do not mind.
It is difficult to survive, especially in the world …
When girls go out into the world, they meet completely redesigned girls. But if the adjustment is decent, no one will even know it. People should think, guess. Did you have your lips made? I am not a supporter of tasteless adjustments.
I had my chin done, few would know
Did you undergo any difficult-to-detect procedures yourself?
Yes, for example, girls often don’t even know I have babybotox or modified cheekbones. These are very simple adjustments, but they can effectively change the face. For example, I had a very square chin, I let it make it more pointed. These are things that no one will know unless you exaggerate.
But you probably don’t push girls …
I’m not persuading anyone, absolutely not.
What is crucial for you when choosing a Miss?
Mainly personality. We deal a lot physically, but it’s not great. Finding a beautiful girl is easy, but there must also be great character, hard work. A girl who will be hardworking and will understand that this is a long-distance run. Sometimes girls become recognized personalities even a year or more after the competition.
Fake people are clouds
What does beauty mean to you?
For me, beauty is something that will do me good. When I spend time with a person, they have to charge me with energy and not suck me out. For me, a beautiful person is one with whom I have a strong bond. Someone I can trust and I know will not trip me up. Fake people are clouds. It is a consensus of two things. Beauty and character go hand in hand.
Miss Czech Republic is in full swing again …
Yes it is. Now even half of the castings in a row. At the beginning of the second week in November, we will select the final ten, which will also go to two foreign camps. They will enjoy Zanzibar, for example, which is also a nice point for girls who will not succeed on the podium. In addition, training, financial literacy, English, performance, speaking knowledge, self-presentation and more are important for girls. It’s not just about the catwalk and swimsuit, we focus on educating young women, which will suit them in the future.
