With the remake of Resident Evil 4 now out, many are wondering what’s next for Capcom. Will the Japanese company look to remake (and possibly overhaul the generally less popular) Resident Evil 5, or turn its attention to the unnumbered installment of the horror franchise?Many were hoping for a remake of Code Veronica, which is basically the latestQuestions and Answers for Shareholders’ MeetingProposed to Capcom again.
When asked if Capcom would only remake numbered entries in the Resident Evil series, the Japanese company replied: “We are in discussions about a future expansion of the series so that a wider audience can enjoy it.
While this is far from confirmation that more remakes are on the way, it does open the door for remakes of unnumbered installments in the Resident Evil franchise.
