Hungary will deploy troops near its border with Ukraine. This was stated today by the Hungarian Ministry of Defense on the official Facebook page of the government, Reuters reported.
It is specified that in part the deployment is a preparation for humanitarian tasks.
“Hungary’s security is paramount, we are strengthening the border between Ukraine and Hungary,” the statement said.
The ministry added that due to the crisis between Ukraine and Russia, border protection and preparation for a humanitarian mission are equally important tasks.
