Companies that have received Corona aid must submit final accounts by the end of September. These are necessary to compare the grants originally requested with those to which the applicants are actually entitled.

Again stricter rules for hand luggage

From September 1st, stricter regulations for liquids in hand luggage will apply again. Passengers will then only be allowed to carry liquids in containers of up to 100 milliliters and must pack them in a transparent plastic bag with a volume of no more than one liter. The liquids rule was temporarily suspended at some German control lanes. This relaxation applied when hand luggage was checked with new types of luggage scanners based on the computer tomography (CT) technology known from medicine. These scanners should be able to better identify potentially dangerous substances in luggage. However, the EU has now expressed concerns about the reliability of these CT scanners.

Receipts for heating subsidies

As planned, from the end of September, the first group of applicants for the KfW heating subsidy will be able to submit the invoices and receipts for projects for which they have applied for a subsidy. This will be done digitally. Among the first to be allowed to submit the application in February are owners of single-family homes who use the house themselves. A spokeswoman for the state development bank KfW explained that the subsidies are expected to be paid out at the end of October after the checks have been completed.
