The date was not chosen at random. It was during the Assises for Mental Health that the demonstration took place. This Tuesday, September 28, everywhere in France, psychologists expressed their anger. They are asking for a salary increase as well as better access to their services.
100 to 150 demonstrators in Dijon
In Dijon, they were between 100 and 150. First in front of the primary health insurance fund then in front of the Prefecture where a delegation was to be received by the Prefect at 4 pm. It was finally at the Regional Health Agency (ARS) at 5 p.m.

In detail, the unions are calling for an improvement in the remuneration of psychologists in order to “restore to its proper level”.
They also ask that the appointments no longer be subject to a medical prescription and that they be reimbursed by social security. They also demand that the methods of therapy and care no longer be imposed on psychologists.
More generally, they call for more consultation with the Government.

Consultations with liberal psychologists will finally be reimbursed as of next year
At the end of the day, the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron spoke at the end of the Assises of mental health.
To meet the strong demand for care, Health Insurance will reimburse consultations with liberal psychologists from next year. “for the whole population from the age of 3” he announced. However, this treatment will be subject to conditions: patients must be “sent by medical prescription as part of a consultation package”, the first session being invoiced 40 euros and the following ones 30 euros each.
Resources will also be made available to create 800 positions in medico-psychological centers. “from next year”.
These reinforcements should make it possible to “reduce waiting times as much as possible” in these structures, which are sometimes “more than 18 months in the most stressed areas”.
Another budgetary effort will be made in terms of research, with an envelope of 80 million euros “dedicated to mental health” as part of the fourth investment for the future program
