No, it doesn’t matter. I sort it from SATA1 just for the sake of order, but it doesn’t affect anything. Just be careful, if there are several M.2 slots on the board, some of them may be shared with some SATA ports, so if the M.2 is used, then SATA is not functional. But they tend to be higher ports, for example SATA6.
