What will the weather be like this week in Southern California? – Telemundo 52

Another round of gusts of wind will hit much of Southern California this Tuesday, with wildfire conditions slightly elevated due to falling humidity levels, forecasters warned.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), winds blew between 35 and 55 mph in parts of Southern California Tuesday morning, with some of the strongest winds blowing in the Santa Monica Mountains and the 5 Freeway corridor. .

“North to northeast wind gusts of 20 to 40 mph will likely persist (Tuesday night) into Wednesday morning, decreasing further Wednesday afternoon,” according to the NWS.

“The combination of gusty north to northeast winds, low humidity and dry fuels will lead to elevated to brief critical fire weather conditions (Tuesday) into early Wednesday.”

Forecasters said humidity levels were expected to drop as low as 12% to 25% Tuesday night.

Temperatures were expected to be about 5 degrees below normal on Tuesday, then warm on Wednesday before falling again on Thursday as a low pressure system and cold front push their way into the area, giving us the chance for some rain and even snow at some lower elevations Thursday night and Friday.

Another round of Santa Ana winds could also affect the region starting Tuesday of next week, according to the NWS.
