With the opinion polls as an ally, but also the good, unifying image, as was recorded at the recent table of the Parliamentary Group, but also in the course of the Polytechnic, in Harilaou Trikoupi they continue their planning and actions.
Targeted actions are being planned both in the Parliament and at the level of society that will show that PaSoK is everywhere and is the dominant opposition pole and at the same time a reliable government alternative.
By teleconference, the S.P.O.K.
Yesterday the Coordinating Political Center met by video conference and they were all present. According to information, the specific teleconference lasted approximately one hour and twenty minutes and a political discussion took place, without the participants, however, entering into the organizational issues of the party.
In particular, they talked about issues related to the orderly functioning of the economy and the everyday life of the citizen, such as private debt, taxation, labor issues, but also the relief for consumers from PPC.
Haris Doukas referred to the latter with his suggestion. PaSoK has these issues high on its agenda, has highlighted them and will continue to highlight them in the next period with targeted actions and parliamentary interventions.
In the parliament “chaos in the streets”
In addition to the discussion of S.PO.K. yesterday there was also an initiative from the parliamentary group, as the PASoK MPs submitted a question to the government about “the traffic chaos that all the residents of the capital live with every day”.
The PASoK MPs had even tabled the question on February 2, 2024, raising, among other things, the issue of whether and when the government will proceed with a central coordination to create a strategic plan to deal with the problem, given that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself had committed in his radio interview on SKAI radio in November 2023 to present interventions for urban sustainable mobility “within the next month”.
But the question was never answered by the leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, which was content only to forward some data sent by the OASA administration about public transport.
“All the offices of the political leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport did not press a key on the computer, did not write a single word to answer what they are planning, planning or even thinking about to find a solution to the daily traffic Calvary of half the country’s population. Most likely because they don’t plan, plan or think about anything” say characteristics from Harilaou Trikoupi.
As the PaSoK MPs underline, “nine months after our question and every day Athens and all of Attica are turning more and more into a vast parking lot. From early in the morning until the evening hours, the traffic in the basin is tragic. The central boulevards of the capital are oversaturated. Because the torture in the streets of Athens and all of Attica continues with the government an indifferent spectator, we resubmit our question. And we will continue to do so, until the New Democracy government abandons its defiant indifference and provides answers”.
In the presence of Androulakis, the bloc is on strike
At the same time, in Harilaou Trikoupi there is an uproar about Wednesday’s general strike. Specifically, during these hours, a mobilization is being carried out, so that the PASOK will create a massive block that will gather in Klathmonos Square.
The organization has been taken over by the secretary of the party, Andreas Spyropoulos, who spoke with trade unionists of the party and all the organizations that will participate. There is even information that apart from the MPs who will be on the march back, Nikos Androulakis will also hold the PaSoK banner, as was the case on the march to the Polytechnic University.
