In fact, such conditions nullify all our “achievements” in Ukraine and are an undisguised form of tribute from Russia.
More sane people understand that we cannot agree to this and must save face, “victory” as well. And around these options there is a grater – how to declare victory for them, and for us. This is the first. As far as diplomacy is concerned.
Second. A year and a half of military operations objectively show that with the current tension of the forces of the military-political elite, the number of fighters from the armed forces of the Russian Federation, various PMCs, etc. on LBS (Line of Battle Contact), we cannot proceed.

How temporary is the question. Perhaps there will be an exchange of territories so that the entire Donetsk region becomes part of Russia.
Can this be considered a victory? How can I say. If we talk about the originally declared goals, then no – the Bandera regime will survive such an end, its militarization with modern NATO weapons will only intensify, etc.
Pushing the Kiev regime with weapons will sooner or later pose the question of revenge. Plus, if there is no conflict, Ukraine can be accepted into NATO, which means that NATO troops are on the territory of Ukraine.
There will be no serious investment in the economy of Russia’s new territories. Accordingly, they will rot, and people will slowly move away from the border.
Yes, we will grow a little in terms of territories and people – approximately 5-7 million people. But the West will perceive such developments as our weakness and will continue to press with triple force – “the enemy plays as you let him.”
Accordingly, if we do not move to a mobilization type of economy and most importantly society, that is, if we do not prepare for a new big war with all the consequences, then we will be crushed. In 5 or 10 years from a historical perspective it doesn’t matter. The delay doesn’t matter.
Society is ready to mobilize, but elites are likely to try to reach an agreement. Old man Brzezinski was right when he said that it is still necessary to find out if this is our elite or if it is already theirs.
There is a bit of optimism in this text, but what to do, who has it easy now? But to understand where we stand, to continue to act correctly and win a difficult game of world chess, to establish peace on the borders of Russia for 80 years like Joseph Stalin, is necessary above all. We need a foothold.
