One of the Parisian luxury districts, the Place Vendôme, was the scene of a robbery this Thursday, May 5. the Chanel store was targeted by armed persons, who left with a loot amounting to several million euros. The robbers managed to escape.
The facts happened around 3 p.m. in the afternoon. four men, heavily armedbroke into on board a motorbike and a scooter. “The leader came out, he thought it was an accident because one of the bikers had tackled one of the security people on the ground and quickly, he saw other people come back with helmets in the Chanel store and he came back to call the police,” says Jean, who works in a restaurant opposite the store.
The robbers have threatened the sellersasking them to kneel. In a few minutes, the thieves have their windows opened and fulfill their jewelry bags. Jean, who arrived a few seconds later, saw a Kalashnikov in the hand of one of the robbers. The restorer had time to take down license plate numbers and turned them over to the police. No gunshot was fired and no injuries is to be deplored. The investigation was entrusted to the organized crime squad.
