This Tuesday, October 4, the investigative unit of Info France revealed the contents of documents leaked to the darknet by Russian-speaking hackers. On 24 August, the South Francilien Hospital Center (CHSF) in Corbeil-Essonnes, one of the largest hospitals in Ile-de-France, was hit by a cyber attack. The perpetrators of this attack then demanded the payment of a ransom of 10 million euros, under penalty of maintaining the blockage of the system and the disclosure of the patients’ health data. The operation of the hospital was then severely interrupted: the admission forms can no longer be completed on the computer and the health workers are forced to manage everything on paper. The White plan was also launched and urgent care was redirected to other hospitals.
This information is expected to remain secret, but now available on the darknet, it has already been viewed by more than 11,000 people. The risk ?
