Troyes is almost there
By overthrowing a Châteauroux already sentenced to relegation (1-2), the leader Troyes already has nine toes in Ligue 1, three years after his relegation. The rise could even be acted on this Monday, if their runner-up, Clermont, does not win in Grenoble. Two ex-Sochaliens actively participate in the recovery operation of Troyes: Yoan Touzghar, 3rd scorer in L2 (15 goals), and Florian Tardieu who recently declared “never to have had so much fun on and off the field”. The first year under the bosom of Manchester City is therefore very satisfactory for ESTAC.
Toulouse can still return to 2nd place with its two late matches (Au Havre and against Pau). The fight for the podium will therefore be played between Clermont, Toulouse and Grenoble

The good operation of Paris FC
If we had to define the winner of this 36th day of Ligue 2, Paris FC would be in the discussion. Engaged in a mano to mano with Auxerre to grab fifth place synonymous with play-offs, the Parisians struck a blow by beating Toulouse at home (3-1). A few hours later, AJ Auxerre came up against Abbé-Deschamps against a Caen in free fall since the start of the return phase (0-0). These two points in advance acquired by the PFC two days from the end could well be decisive.

Sochaux and Nancy in… Ligue 2
It had been in the boxes for a few weeks, and it’s now official. Sochaux and Nancy will be on the starting line of Ligue 2 2021-2022. FCSM destroyed his last hopes of hitting the play-offs bowing this Saturday in Dunkirk (1-0). Regarding ASNL, despite his defeat at Marcel-Picot against Valenciennes, it can no longer descend to 18th place, synonymous with jump-offs.

Revolution behind the scenes in Auxerre
Things are moving behind the scenes at Abbé-Deschamps. Francis Graille, in office since 2017, will no longer be the president of AJ Auxerre. We know that relations with Jean-Marc Furlan the coach were strained. Graille informed James Zhou, the majority shareholder of AJA, who was inducted as president effective May 10. Another departure, that of the sports director Cédric Daury. And all this while Auxerre has an important match against Grenoble on Saturday. A final even if we refer to the Twitter account of the AJA.

Chambly still alive
By facing a Chambly (19th) at home, Le Havre undoubtedly thought of securing the victory necessary to stay in Ligue 2. But the Havre lost (2-4) and will have to fight to the end for maintenance.
While the two teams were back to back (1-1) in the 50th, Chambly built their victory between the 51st and 68th minutes to lead (1-3). This success allows Chambly to be only three points from 18th place synonymous with a jump-off. “The coach must have had heart problems during the match. We are in Coupe de France mode ”declared the Camblysian Guillaume Dequaire.
The next Chambly – Pau will be worth its weight in gold. The Pau, undefeated for 9 days, have a late match, just like the Le Havre (Tuesday May 4 against Toulouse). There are in any case 6 points at stake. If we except Châteauroux, already condemned, 8 teams below the 45 point mark are therefore still mathematically concerned by relegation: Chambly, Caen, Niort, Dunkirk, Pau, Le Havre, Guingamp, Rodez and Ajaccio. And only three points separate the 13th, Guingamp, the 18th, Caen.
