Looking at the practice, the title question is still unanswered. Although more and more, in most cases – we know little about investing, and even if we have some knowledge, we are afraid to take the risk. As a consequence, the financial surpluses of three out of four Poles … are transferred to a bank account! Only if the banks met the threat of negative interest, something would change in attitudes.
More than four out of ten adult Poles have no savings. Among those who have them, only 16 percent. invests them actively – results from the “ASSAY INDEX” study, conducted by Maison & Partners on behalf of the Assay Group. We usually associate investing with something complicated, requiring specialist knowledge, which is confirmed by the proprietary investment maturity index created by the Assay Group. On a scale of 0 to 100, we achieved a score of 33. This means that, as a society, we are one third of the way to full investment readiness.
The Assay Group, a company dealing with investments in the future of Polish start-ups, decided to look at the behavior of Poles related to saving and investing.
As shown by a study commissioned by the company, only 56 percent. Poles declare that they have any savings. Although as many as two out of three people in this group have savings of less than 30,000. zlotys, it is thanks to the richest Poles – who have set aside over 100,000. PLN – the average value of the saved funds amounted to PLN 29,688.

The increase in wealth becomes a fact
It is worth pointing out that 38 percent. Poles stated that their financial situation had deteriorated to some extent (25%) or significantly (13%) during the pandemic.
