Here are some steps you can take if your e-Toll balance runs out in the middle of a trip:
1. Pressing the Help Button
Drivers can press the help button located at the checkout counter, adjacent to the ‘Print Receipt’ button. By pressing the button, the officer will come to help.
2. Requesting Officer Assistance
Motorists can immediately ask for help from officers around the toll gate and explain to the officer that the e-toll balance is insufficient, then follow the officer’s directions. Maybe the card will be topped up in person or also asked to pay in cash and directed to top up at the nearest rest area.
3. Top up with Mobile Banking
Top up e-Toll balances with the mobile banking application on the cellphone according to the bank provider used.
4. Find the Nearest Charging Station
Riders can fill up at the nearest rest area or minimarket outlets available there.
It is important to remember, avoid changing cards that are different from entering and exiting the toll road because it will be considered trespassing. The perpetrator will be fined twice the farthest fare on the same road section.
So before traveling, be sure to check balance toll cards and toll fares that are passed using the BPJT Info Tol application which can be downloaded on a cellphone.
