What to do on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August in Rome
On Saturday and Sunday, art invades the streets: circus performers, magicians and more come to animate the streets of the center. The circus also reaches Ostia Anrica, the black one conquers the Magicland amusement park. Make way for music, theater, shows under the stars. There is no shortage of sporting events by the sea and festivals that celebrate ancient and good traditions.

Circles and Holes
Street artists, circus performers, magicians continue to animate via dei Fori Imperiali and via dei Cerchi. “Cerchi e Fori” is in fact the manifestation of the Roman summer that aims to make all Romans and tourists live a spectacular experience. Almost magical. The two streets, which for the occasion will be fully pedestrianized, in the evening, between 20.30 and 23.30. On Saturday 13th August, stilts, magic shows, world music and more are scheduled in an evening full of performances. Ancient Ferragostia
The sixth edition of the summer event returned to Ostia Antica with unpublished narratives of the places, performance guided tours and suggestive staging of multidisciplinary shows within the wonderful Renaissance village, a “natural” setting perfect for being transported to other worlds and other eras. Saturday 13 August the “Eccentrici Dadarò”, a loyal presence of the event, open with “Operativi!”, At 9 pm, an exhilarating show of theater and circus. At 10pm, Raffaello Corti will overwhelm the audience with his “Faccestamagia”, which combines magic and comedy in a unique and irreverent way. August 14 will be entirely dedicated to music. At 9 pm, the Banda czechfumo, wind orchestra directed by Adriano Pedretti, will dress the village with jazz, swing and the most famous soundtracks; at 10.30 pm, instead, an unmissable event for lovers of cartoons and the world of the 90s: Sonia Ceriola and the Zigulì Band, with their “La Posta di Sonia in concert”, will involve young and old with an ageless repertoire, in a format that has become a cult for all millennials. The legendary 90s at the Castle of Santa Severa
Saturday 13 August the legendary 90s return to the Castle of Santa Severa with Veronica Cinque and Daniel Mastrovito who will bring, a stone’s throw from the sea, the covers of the most famous international songs of those years. It is the 90s, on TV they give Il Festivalbar, Beverly Hills, Dawson’s Creek, Willy the Prince of BelAir and the Lunapop, The Spice Girls, The BackstreetBoys, the 883 are on the radio. The Orchestraccia plays by the sea
On Sunday, also at the Castle of Santa Severa, the Orchestraccia will perform a stone’s throw from the sea. The folk-rock music group inspired by Roman tradition and culture, makes an appointment on the eve of August for a special evening of music and theater inspired by the great heritage of Roman folklore but with a current and contemporary look. Black Circus Luna Park
The Black Circus arrives in Magicland, the amusement park of Valmontone, on August 13th. A special night, from 7pm and, starting from 9.30pm, dj-set. For the occasion, the Park will close its doors at 1 am. The Luna Park themed event will present exceptional performers, to entertain young and old. A traveling parade full of color, music and smiles: majorettes, waders and jugglers who will amaze the audience with their special numbers. A sport climbing wall overlooking the sea
On the beach of Santa Severa, in the shadow of the Castle, the “Sports Village at the Castle” has been set up since the beginning of the summer. The village will be open during the entire week of August 15th, from 13th to 21st August, presenting an interesting novelty for the more adventurous types: for the occasion, a sport climbing wall overlooking the sea will be installed.
