Despite the greyness and the downpours announced, Rennes has no shortage of outings and cultural events. As every summer, the company Spectaculaires – AllumeursImages offers a light and music show, projected on the Parliament of Brittany. This year, a new project called “Colors” highlights the work of street artist WAR! and the composer Olivier Mellano. A nice sensory spectacle, in the open air, mixing ambient music and colors. Pinault collection
A return in black and white for the second exhibition of the collection entitled “Beyond color, Black and White in the Pinault Collection”, visible until August 29 and which has already welcomed 55,000 visitors. Installed at the Couvent des Jacobins, it brings to light pieces never presented before and comes to question the spectators on the symbolism of black and white. Guinguette and concert
For the more courageous, wishing to brave the forecast showers, the summer of the MeM tavern continues! Located on the banks of the Vilaine, not far from the Stade Rennais, the guiguette welcomes French artists all summer long, on its outdoor stage. This weekend is a busy schedule. On Friday, the Vannes blues rock duo Blue Butter Pot will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday, place for the group Nantais Babakar who will perform their festive songs from 7:30 p.m. Finally, the Rennais of Face B sings Boris Vian will take over Sunday at 4 p.m. with their repertoire mixing jazzy, pop, blues and rock. Demonstration in the city center
As every Saturday afternoon since the announcements related to the introduction of the health pass, a demonstration is organized in the city center. It starts at 2 p.m., Place de République. Last week 2,500 people marched through the streets.
