What to Do If “Ni no Kuni CrossWorlds” App Does Not Start or Crashes on Android 14

I will write about what to do if the MMORPG “Ni no Kuni CrossWorlds” app does not start or crashes on Android 14.

As of October 23, 2023, when launching the “Ninokuro” app on a device that ships with Android 14, such as Pixel 8 / Pixel 8 Pro, or a device that has updated its OS to Android 14, the Netmarble splash screen is displayed. It has been confirmed that there is a problem where the app may be forced to close while it is being displayed.

*A symptom occurred where the app crashed in the middle of the netmarble splash screen.

In this case, please clear the cache of the “Ninokuro” app and check if the app starts up again.

* Android 14 “Settings” → “Apps” → “Ni no Kuni” → “Storage and cache” → “Delete cache” and launch the app again.

Yes, the app starts properly. You can now go to the login screen.

*As of October 2023, Sanrio collaboration is underway at Ninokuro!

In addition, this symptom occurs repeatedly on my Pixel 8 Pro, and I have to “delete cache” every time I cold boot the app.

Also, if you accidentally “delete storage” you will have to re-download around 6GB of updates, so be especially careful when you are out and about.

If you “delete cache”, there is no need to re-download the update.

I discovered the symptoms on the day the Pixel 8 Pro was released and reported it to management on October 17th. It seems that there are other people who have made similar reports, so the management must probably be aware of it. I’m sure it will be resolved, so please use this method until then.
