BMKG Banjarnegara Geophysics Station will make observations total lunar eclipse at the Arjuna Temple Complex, Dieng Plateau, starting at 17.00 WIB.
“We will observe the total lunar eclipse or Super Blood Moon from the Arjuna Temple Complex, Dieng Kulon Village,” said Head of BMKG Banjarnegara Geophysics Station Setyoajie Prayoedhie in Banjarnegara, Wednesday.
It explained that a total lunar eclipse occurs when the sun, earth and moon are aligned.
“When this phenomenon occurs the moon is close to the point closest to the earth,” he said.
He added that the visibility of the total lunar eclipse will take place gradually.
“In the observations that will be carried out from Dieng, Banjarnegara it is estimated that the start of the total phase will be around 18.09 WIB, the peak of the eclipse will be around 18.18 WIB, the start of the total phase at 18.28 WIB, the end of the partial phase at around 19.52 WIB and the end of the penumbra phase at around 20.51 WIB, “he explained.
From the entire eclipse process, he continued, from the initial phase to the final phase it will last for 5 hours 5 minutes and 2 seconds.
