New call for contributions on insurance for bad weather damage

The call for contributions request a coverage of the costs of insurance policies on private buildings with respect to damage caused by natural disasters and catastropheswill also be replicated in 2025 and will be regulated by less stringent rules in order to encourage a new insurance culture also in relation to climate change.

In particular, one of the innovations introduced in next announcement concerns the possibility of participating even without the presentation of the ISEE, still accessing the contributions but with a lower score in the ranking.

This was announced yesterday afternoon by the regional councilor for Heritage, State Property and Information Systems, Sebastiano Callari, speaking in the first integrated commission of the Regional Council during the examination of the 2025 Stability Law which will soon arrive in the Chamber. I am over 130 million euros allocated to the matters falling within the competence of councilor Callari.

A simpler announcement.

“We are also working on an amendment – explained Callari – which makes it even easier to participate in the tender which, as first Region in Italy, we launched at the beginning of November, on an experimental basis, valid until December 6th. The experimentation allowed us to evaluate the critical issues in the application submission process and therefore to improve the rules. To participate in the new call, yes financed with resources allocated in the last budget adjustment, the presentation of the ISEE will not be mandatory. Furthermore, we are evaluating whether to increase the level of coverage which today reaches up to 50 percent of the total expenditure”.

The councilor then illustrated an amendment to the associated – which was voted by a majority of the Council – linked to competences on regional state property. “There are – explained the councilor for State Property – some concessions that today belong to the Region, such as the maritime state property for tourist and seaside use, and there are others that are headed by the Municipalities. Depending on the new State Property Use Plan (Pud) that will be adopted, there is a need to review and bring order to the matter. The new rule – added the representative of the regional council – will allow the Region to take charge of some concessions currently held by the Municipalities and the municipal administrations to take on other concessions which are currently managed by the Region. This will always happen following an interlocution and discussion, on the basis of which a regulatory instrument will be developed that will allow these steps”.
