The doctor cited the case of China, an Asian country that vaccinated children with sera developed by its pharmaceutical companies Sinopharm and Sinovac, with the latter’s vaccine being that the Dominican Government will vaccinate children between the ages of five and 11.

“In front of coronavirus nothing is written and in the face of this uncertainty, the Medical College joined the specialized medical societies in the National Palace, with the Health Cabinet, and we recommended and approved vaccinating children,” he said.

The Ministry of Public Health enabled the vaccination in children between five and 11 years old through resolution No. 00006-2022. The vaccination it is voluntary and requires the written authorization of the minor’s mother, father or guardian.
