Tech giant Microsoft has announced that it is rolling out the latest version of Windows 11 – Windows 11 2022 Update – in more than 190 countries.
The company said the new update will expand the Amazon App Store Preview to international markets, integrated Game Pass for Windows 11, new accessibility features, advanced security updates, and more.
“Our approach to launching Windows 11 leverages our established systems and upgrade processes,” said John Cable, Vice President of Program Management, Windows Service and Delivery, in a post. Our goal is to provide a high quality modernization experience. “
“We will initially increase the availability of the display in the first few weeks as we monitor the quality signals. If we detect that your device may have a problem, such as an app incompatibility, we may put in place a protection and not even offer the update.” , he added.
Eligible users can choose to install the new update by opening Windows Update settings and selecting Check for Updates.The company said it is announcing a new set of experiments including Tabbed File Explorer, a component of the 2022 update for all versions , which will be ready in October.
Microsoft said it plans a phased release in time with the October release of the optional non-security preview of these features, after which they will be made widely available in the November 2022 security update release and has reduced the size of the 450 MB update feature download for many users.
“We have also reduced the download and installation time for the monthly cumulative update, as well as recover hundreds of megabytes of disk space to be returned to the user,” the company said.
