Capcom is doing really well at the moment, thanks to the Resident Evil series. Thanks to the remake of Resident Evil 4, Capcom could boast of its highest shares in history, and the game itself recorded a number of successes in addition to positive reviews right after its release. However, it certainly cannot be said that the company is just trying squeeze remakes, as evidenced by last year’s Resident Evil Village. As you can see, fans of the series nevertheless appreciate the remakes, so it is not surprising that there are plans to remake other installments as well. And so Capcom is now asking players what they should do next.
After the remakes of the second, third and now the fourth part, it would make sense for the next remake to be Resident Evil 5 from 2009 with Chris Redfield in the lead role, and the end of the remake even referred to the fifth part. So Resident Evil 5 sounds like a likely candidate, but it may not be a sure thing. At least that’s what the latest questionnaire suggests, where players can choose which title they’d like to see, so it can’t be ruled out that its results could influence future plans. From earlier responses and various wishes of fans on social networks or forums, it can be concluded that the original Resident Evil from 1996, which has already received one remake, but already in 2002 for the Nintendo GameCube, could often be mentioned in the questionnaire. There could also be demand for the 2000 spin-off Resident Evil Code: Veronica first for the Dreamcast, which takes place shortly after the events of the third installment.
If you want to share your wish, you can fill out the questionnaire here. If you are a member of the ambassador program, you will receive 10 points for completing it. The questionnaires include basic data such as age and country, but also knowledge and interests with regard to the Resident Evil series such as movies, music, collecting or cosplay and many others.
