The average of the ten largest “net salary incomes” (salary, guards or other increases) of doctors in the Pius Brînzeu County Emergency Clinical Hospital in Timişoara – the largest hospital in the West – was, in February 2017, 13,800 lei, compared to 8,900 lei in February last year.
The 56% increase in the average of the ten largest net salary incomes in the mentioned hospital, in a single year, shows that the measures to increase the incomes in the sanitary field are seen on the salary slip of the doctors.
The average was calculated arithmetically by selecting the top ten net salary incomes from February 2016 and February 2017, respectively, for the doctors of the Timiş County Hospital, which means that there are salaries and income added to lower salaries for different medical specializations.
In 2017, there were 27 net salary incomes of doctors of over 10,000 lei, which reached in the case of a primary doctor who works in the SMURD ambulance service up to 16,000 lei, according to public data on the website of the County Hospital in Timiş. In February 2016, only four net salary incomes exceeded the threshold of 10,000 lei in the mentioned hospital. Last year the hospital had 414 doctors. The arithmetic average of the net salary income of the 13 doctors in a surgery department of the hospital in Timişoara was 4,700 lei in February 2017, compared to 2,900 lei last year, which means an advance of almost 58%, according to calculations ZF.
