What rules should restaurants follow to open doors again? Industry association has already submitted a proposal to the Government – News

The proposal for a Guide to Good Practices includes topics such as the training of entrepreneurs and employees, reorganization of spaces, entry control rules, personal hygiene rules, uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE’s), cleaning and disinfection rules, care for having in the preparation and preparation of food, menus and service, as well as specific requirements for self-service and buffets, take-away, delivery and drive-in.

After being reviewed by the Authority for Working Conditions (ACT), the Food and Economic Security Authority (ASAE), the General Directorate of Health (DGS) and Turismo de Portugal (TdP), the Guide, informs the association in a statement , will be returned to AHRESP to complete.

In addition to the guide and with a view to respecting its guidelines, AHRESP is also preparing training sessions through videos aimed at entrepreneurs and their employees.

AHRESP also highlights the creation of a distinctive seal attributed to establishments that respect good practices, which will help to convey the desirable confidence to consumers.

On April 21, AHRESP met with Prime Minister António Costa, with the Minister of Economy and Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira, the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques, and the Secretary of State for Health, António Sales , to discuss the conditions for a possible reopening of the HORECA channel establishments.

At the meeting, AHRESP argued that the reopening of the sectors it represents depended on two conditions: the definition of specific rules in the areas of health, hygiene and safety for customers, workers and facilities, as well as support for companies, particularly with regard to maintenance of jobs and the acquisition of equipment
needed.

AHRESP will address this and other topics in an online seminar on Problems and Solutions for the HORECA Channel, held with the support of several municipalities.

The Webinar will take place tomorrow, April 29, 2020, between 11 am and 1 pm, through AHRESP’s Youtube page at https://www.youtube.com/user/AHRESP.

On top of the discussion table is the Balance Sheet of the COVID-19 Crisis in Tourist Accommodation and Restaurants, the reopening of establishments, the AHRESP Guide to Good Practices and also the Financial Support, Lay-off, extensions of tax payments and default.
