Yape announced loans of up to S/10,000 to pay them in up to 18 months. This is a figure higher than the microcredits they made in amounts of S/100 and S/500, which could be paid in just one installment. According to Yape figures, they have granted more 800,000 credits of the amounts available in less than 15 months of operations. This represents a total of S/190 million offered.
Regarding this, Christian SaavedraYape’s loan leader, pointed out “the extension of terms and amounts that Yape is promoting are designed to satisfy the needs of a wide spectrum of clients, from those looking for financing for an unforeseen event to those who need a larger amount for a project or meet a goal”.

What are the requirements to access a loan of up to S/10,000?
According to the Yape application, you must be affiliate through a BCP account or DNI account and have all data updated such as address and cell phone number. Additionally, you must have a active debit card. You must also be up to date on all your payments such as bank loans, credit cards, and services. That is, you cannot appear as a delinquent debtor in any risk center. One of the factors to evaluate is the frequent use of both Yape and other applications belonging to the BCP. Lastly, you must have a pre-approved offer and for this you need a good credit rating.
How to get a loan in Yape?
- Open the Yape application and look for the credits option.
- Go in to request a loan and select the amount and payment date that best suits you.
- Review the conditions of the loan and if you agree, accept it.
- You will receive a confirmation message on your cell phone and enter it
- Once confirmed you will be able to see the amount in your balance.
Although these credits are approved in seconds, remember that the hours are Monday to Sunday from 5 am to 11 pm. m.
