Malakappara – A herd of wild elephants crossed the police station premises at night. The wild elephants reached the station area through the Anamala road. As there are travel restrictions on the Anamala road, the elephants usually come down on the road when the traffic decreases.
The herd of elephants that arrived at 8:30 in the night entered the station premises in advance as the police officers saw them through the CC camera and were able to drive them away before they did any damage. The herd of elephants also arrived here on the night of the 28th of last month.
