In a motion presented to the plenum today, the CDU/CSU parliamentary group calls for an immediate relief program for companies and employees.
The Bayreuth member of the Bundestag Dr. Silke Launert:
“Energy prices are exploding, supply difficulties, shortages of raw materials and staff shortages characterize the current economic situation: what our companies need now is quick and noticeable relief! However, what the traffic light coalition is planning in terms of relief is far from enough!
A lot more is needed to effectively cushion the consequences of the Ukraine crisis and the effects of the corona pandemic: a temporary reduction in sales tax on electricity, gas and district heating deliveries as well as on fuels to the reduced sales tax rate of seven percent, improved depreciation options, a Improved tax loss accounting and support for companies particularly affected by the Ukraine crisis through sureties, guarantees, loans or state participation, for example through a new KfW program.
Less bureaucracy, faster planning and approval processes, and flexible labor law regulations and working time models are other starting points that need to be addressed as soon as possible! The fragmented and ineffective traffic light procedure must finally come to an end!”
