Bogotá: How to be an organ or tissue donor?

There are more than 2,500 Colombians who require an organ transplant to improve their quality and life expectancy in Colombia, which is why people who voluntarily want to inform their intention to be donors are required and therefore can leave a conversation with their family that want to donate their organs or tissues at the time of death.

After discussing this intention to donate with the family, a record can be made with the National Institute of Health, the entity that regulates this process and who manages in detail all the information related to the donation of organs or tissues. In this way, the donor can provide their basic information in a form and will have access to a card that accredits them for this purpose.

If you want to know everything related to organ donation, we invite you to browse the website of the National Institute of Health.
