In our group, six more countries will be killed by four places in the quarterfinals of the Ice Hockey World Championships – Russia, Switzerland, Slovakia, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Denmark.
Russia will play two more matches with Sweden and Belarus. To be sure, he only needs to get one point in these two matches. It is difficult to imagine that this would be an impossible task for the “choir”.
Switzerland will play one more match in the basic group. His opponent will be an outsider of our group Great Britain. Helvet also needs to score one point to confirm his progress to the quarterfinals. Any result other than the Swiss victory by a few goals would be a big surprise.

The Slovaks are vying for the remaining two seats with the Swedes and the Czechs. The Danes also have a chance to advance, but they can no longer directly endanger our chance:

– if Denmark will win over the Czech Republic in regular time, so he will send us to the quarterfinals and at the same time he will wait for the result of Monday night’s match Russia – Sweden. If the “three crowns” do not get more than two points in it, the Danes will also advance to the quarterfinals.
– if Sweden wins over Russia in regular time and Czechia he will get at least a point in the match with Denmark, so the fate of Slovakia will be decided in Tuesday’s match Slovakia – Czech Republic. Our hockey player will only need to lose after extra time to advance.
