What more, 2020? Twitter rock memes as earthquake hits Rajasthan with earthquakes in Delhi

We are in 2020. Anything can happen. On Thursday, earthquakes were felt across parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region on Thursday evening after a 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck Rajasthan.

The National Seismology Center, which reports to the Ministry of Earth Sciences, said the epicenter of the quake was Alwar in Rajasthan.

The 4.2 Richter scale earthquake struck at 11:46 p.m. at a depth of three miles, the NCS said.

However, these are not the first tremors that have been felt in Delhi this year. Earlier this year, tremors were felt in and around Delhi after a magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck 63 km southwest of Gurugram in Haryana.

Lately, a series of low intensity earthquakes hit parts of northern India, including Delhi-NCR. And it looks like the people of Delhi are now used to these regular tremors.

Several users took to social media to tweet about the earthquake, sharing memes and jokes!

Recently, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake was experienced in the Rajkot district of Gujarat, the Seismological Research Institute (ISR) confirmed. No injuries or material damage were reported.

In September of this year, a magnitude 2.7 earthquake occurred 98 km north of Mumbai. In addition, a magnitude 3.6 earthquake struck 95 km west of Nashik.
