Restaurant they had to close at 20:00 from Friday, but from Wednesday must be completely closed. The dispensing windows will be able to work until 20:00 at the latest. The hotel restaurants will not be closed, they will only be available to guests until 20:00.

It’s new ban on drinking alcohol in public. While most of the new measures were in place during the spring wave of the epidemic, this was not one of them. According to the Minister of Health Roman Prymula, the aim is to limit drinking in outdoor areas so that the dispensing windows of restaurants are not abused and people do not gather at them.

People can meet in groups of up to six. The measures apply not only indoors but also outdoors. According to Prymula, family members, statutory bodies and meetings of state administration, self-government or political parties will have an exception.

Obligations to wear veils even at public transport stops apply from Tuesday.

Most of the newly introduced measures will apply until the end of the state of emergency on 3 November, but distance learning at the first stage of primary schools will end on 1 November.

Elementary schools must teach at a distance. It was only from Monday that the measure was in force, on the basis of which half of the children studied in person at the second stage of primary schools, and the rest at a distance. After a week, the students had to take turns. On Monday, universities and secondary schools throughout the Czech Republic switched to online teaching. So far, the first grade has been full-time teaching with the obligation to wear veils in the corridors and a ban on singing.

Full-time practical training is now also banned at secondary schoolswhich may have taken place so far.

Only exams with the participation of up to ten people can take place at universities. Exceptions to the ban on physical presence at the university will be granted to students participating in clinical and practical teaching and practice in the fields of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and other medical study programs and those who carry out teaching practice in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.

Individual teaching will also be abolished at basic art schools.

From Wednesday too students who have another residence in the Czech Republic may not be accommodated in dormitories. Exceptions are students with government-mandated work duties or students in the above fields. However, according to the Minister of Education Robert Plaga (YES), it was agreed that students who cannot return home can stay in the dormitories, as well as students in quarantine. The government has also banned the provision of accommodation for pupils and students in youth homes and boarding schools. Outdoor schools will also be banned.
