A viral photo shows a Kia Seltos SUV stuck in a speed bump or speed bumps. The incident that troubled motorists took place in Bhopal Madhya Pradesh, India.
Quoted from the site Cart, this incident happened to Abhishek Sharma. Sharma mentions his Kia Seltos trapped in a very large speed bump. Sharma realized this when he found his car immobile and stuck in the middle of speed bumps. The car tire skidded.
He tried various ways to get out of the situation, but after much effort he finally gave up and asked the people around him for help.
In a post on his social media, Sharma said he was disappointed by the incident. He couldn’t understand why someone would build a speed bump building that big.
“My regards to the incredible engineers who made speed bump this. A lot of cars are already stuck here (in speed bump this),” said Sharma.
From these reports, it is clear that this is not the first time. And uniquely, this incident happened to Kia Seltos which has a ground clearance quite high, which is 190 mm. This means the cars that ground clearanceIt’s lower, like a hatchback or sedan, it will be easier to get caught in this speed bump.
A little in the mirror in the country, there are rules for making speed bumps. This is stated in the Minister of Transportation Regulation (Permenhub) No. 82 of 2018. This is regulated in Article 58. This is what it says.
“The manufacture of Road User Control and Security Devices is carried out by a business entity that meets the requirements and has been assessed by the Director General in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.”
The provisions of the sleep police are as follows:
1. Made of road material, rubber, or other materials that have a similar effect
2. Has a height of 8 to 15 centimeters, a width of 30 to 90 centimeters at the top, with a slope of at most 15 percent
3. Has a combination of yellow or white measuring 20 centimeters and black measuring 30 centimeters.
In addition, it is also explained in Article 274 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of the LLAJ Law, people who install speed bumps carelessly so as to cause damage and/or disruption of road function can be subject to a maximum imprisonment of 1 year and a maximum fine of Rp. 24 million.
