After Eulampius learned about the decree of Emperor Maximian condemning Christians to death, he expressed his anger. He was caught and given a choice: give up his faith or experience severe torture. Eulampius rejected his faith, but later he again confessed his faith in Christ. He was subjected to many tortures, but he remained faithful to his convictions. Evlampia’s sister declared herself a Christian and suffered the same torture. The two martyrs were thrown into a fiery furnace, but they survived by the grace of God. Eventually, Evlampius was deposed, and Eulampia died of torture.
